Thank You for Joining Us Beneath the Trees
"Still in Progress" - Unfinished like the space itself, this watercolor by James Keul captures a quiet moment of music beneath the magnolia tree at Art Among the Trees. In a gathering where process mattered more than perfection, even the paintings embraced the invitation to begin.
Dear friends,
Thank you so much for coming to Art Among the Trees! Whether you wandered into the woods on a whim or planned your afternoon around it, your presence helped create something truly special.
We estimate that around 300 people came to the event — but even more meaningful than the number was the feeling in the air. So many of you told us how much this gathering meant to you — how grounding, joyful, and needed it felt. We felt it too.
This was our very first time doing anything like this, and we’re still in awe of what unfolded. Artists shared their work with openness and courage. Musicians filled the air with sound and soul. People brought food, curiosity, and so much kindness. There was art strung from trees, laughter between strangers, and moments of real connection everywhere you looked.
We believe in gatherings like this — artful, heartful, community-rooted — and we’d love for you to grow with us. This mailing list is the best way to stay in the loop for future events, artist calls, and spontaneous creative happenings in the woods. We’ll only send emails occasionally, and we promise to keep them warm and worthwhile.
If you have ideas, feedback, or reflections from the day — we’d love to hear them.
With deep gratitude and excitement for what’s ahead,
Ruth & Joe
